ଅଭିପ୍ସା

A STRONG DESIRE.....

Oh! I feel like talking to you endlessly
Laughing to my heart's content............!

I do feel like losing myself in you

While conversing with you with a vacant mind

Beneath the moonlit milky nights

Standing beside the lazy, gravid cornfields

Eons pass like seconds in my wilful forgetfulness.........!

Much water has passed in the mean time....

We've forgotten more than we'd once remembered.........

Yes, we've forgotten our spontaneous and unadulterated laughters.......

We've forgotten the sportiveness and liveliness that we're known for......

We've forgotten too some substantial addresses inked in old notepads......!

But, it's unbelievably and unanswerably true That today it feels like unfolding the worn out notebooks

And looking for all those old addresses obliterated from the weak memories,

But, like a bone of contention,

Breaks into an absentmindedness, an unavoidable stumbling block

While frantically hunting those old addresses,

And time, like the jaws of a beast of prey, keeps pulling the toes,

And some irresistible desires remain unfulfilled

Before the tongue wags to commence something anew.......!
