O Mother Utkal!
I bow before you to worship you with humility and reverence,
Your charming, lustrous laughter takes after your sweet utterances!
O Mother! Mother! Mother!
Your divine being ever gets showered by the holy waters of the Bay of Bengal,
Your hallowed shore is garnished by the palm-tamal groves and plants floral,
Minds ever get energized by the vaporous breezes of your river banks celestial!
O Mother! Mother! Mother!
You're indeed a rich repository of everlasting Beauty and elegance,
Your eyes ever radiate the luminous rays of deep wisdom, philosophy and science,
The meditations of the Yogis and Rishis on your bosom glorifies your sacredness!
O Mother! Mother! Mother!
You have given birth to dauntless heroes and formidable Knights,
Enemies have been petrified by the swoosh of their swords in many bloody fights,
Your erudite children have endeared you to the world around with knowledge lights!
O Mother! Mother! Mother!
You've been adorned by the lush, luxuriant and dense forests,
The mountain ranges, like sapphire waves,
ornament your face and bedeck your crests,
The sugary and dulcet chirrups of the birds
in your skies host the planetary Guests!
O Mother! Mother! Mother!
Oh! The Land of Utkal is ever embellished by the lofty temples appealing,
She is ever embroidered by their sculptures rich, vivacious and captivating,
And She is ever replenished with shrines and pilgrimages soul solacing!
O Mother! Mother! Mother!
Your glorious heritage has been eulogized by the great poets and sons unparalleled,
You are saluted with obeisance everywhere for your grandeur unprecedented,
Thus, you ever deserve to be venerated with heads bowed and hands folded,
O Mother! Mother! Mother!
