ବର୍ଷାଭିଜା ଭାବନା

ଏ ବର୍ଷା ଏକ ବାହାନା
ତୁମକୁ ପାଖରେ ପାଇ
ମନଇଚ୍ଛା ଭିଜିଯିବା ପାଇଁ......!

କେଉଁ ଦୂର ସଞ୍ଜବତୀକୁ
ଛାଇ କରି ଫୁଟିଲେଣି
ହୃଦୟର ଫୁଲ ସବୁ
ଗୀତଟିଏ ସଜାଡ଼ିଛି ଗାଇବାକୁ
ଏବେ ଯଦି ଫେର ତମେ l

କେଉଁ ଜଙ୍ଗଲୀ ଫୁଲର ବାସ୍ନା
ଆଉ ବିଳମ୍ବିତ ରାତିର ମାୟା
ଜାଣେ ଜିତିପାରନ୍ତି ତୁମ
ଆନମନା ମନ
ମୁଁ କିନ୍ତୁ ଚାହେଁ ଏ ବର୍ଷା
ନହେଉ ଏକ ବାଟ
ତୁମେ ମତେ ଛାଡି ଯିବା ପାଇଁ l

RAIN DRENCHED FEELINGS .........

This rain is nothing
But a palpable excuse
To find you close to cuddle up to you
And get drenched to the hilt
To my heart's content........!

Lo! The rapturous blossoms of my heart
Are busy overshadowing the flickering gleams
Discharged by the far off evening diyas;
Should you return, I will amuse and regale you with the verse treasured for you......!

Hark! I'm not ignorant of the facts

That the amorous and alluring aromas

Sprayed by some wild and jungli blooms,

And the irresistible temptations of the seductive nights

May captivate your wobbly and unbridled mind;

All the same, I wouldn't even dream in my nightmares

That this night plays a spoilsport

Lest you should leave me marooned unconvicted and unsentenced….!

*wobbly and unbridled - unsteady and uncontrolled
