ଓଡ଼ିଆ କବିତା "ନମଣ ମୋତେ ହୀନ " / TRANSLATED POEM "DON’T LOOK DOWN UPON ME!"

 DON’T LOOK DOWN UPON ME!

Hark! Do look at a little star at a dark night,

And you’ll admit; how successful its fight against darkness is!

Do look at a little sapling growing in delight,

And you’ll concur; your constant care can make it huge in size

To pay you back with its shade, flowers and fruits – your sweat’s prize!

Hark! Do look at a little bud dreaming on its stem

And you’ll comply; it will one day bloom and glitter like a gem

And smile smugly while spraying its aroma joyfully!

Do look at a little bird falling down painfully at the dawn of life’s game,

And you’ll agree; trying repeatedly it can fly one day as a flight effortlessly!

Hark! Do look at a little ant walking steadily on a line,

And you’ll accept; it symbolizes persistence, perseverance and discipline,

It unfailingly teaches the value of team spirit and savings for future!

Do look at me, a little child today, but not at all an ignoble creature,

For, my little brain can do miracles one day if you train well and nurture!
