SOURAV DADA GANGULY – A LAUDABLE CRIC-SMITH
Had it not been for Dada, Indian Cricket would have remained
uncleaned.
The ghosts of match fixing would have kept haunting
The hunger for team’s victory could not have grown, and young,
disciplined
Bloods could not have been inducted to the team, and the rivals’
underestimating
Would have prevailed. Regionalism bias would have crushed blooming
talents
And Indian Cricket would not have been a place for gentlemen and saints!
Had it not been for Dada, aggressive approach would have been a
reverie
Winning Test Matches abroad would have been a fictional story
The Turbanator could not have chocked Waugh’s formidable Triumph-boat
Yuvraj could not have been called the King of Sixes, and Sehwag’s
opening slot
Could not have been fixed so earlier. Who could say Dhoni would
be his successor
Who else could have waived his Jersey at the Ovals, and played
square cuts better?
Yes, apart from leading the team from the front as the most
successful captain
Dada was a laudable Cric-Smith who was gifted with genuine
Cricketing acumen!
