Who says, to proceed, an unavoidable impediment is, one's advanced age?
Who says, as one grows older one simply succumbs, and down one's arms lays?
Who says, as one nears one's autumn of life, one is too consumed to win the strife?
Who says, extreme senescence squeezes one's vim, enthusiasm and sense?
For, the Professor Chilikuri vehemently defies the above all in her nineties.
An inimitable man moulding machine as fondly called she is,
Commutes daily sixty odd kms to teach Physics, Radiology and Anesthesia
Doing away with her old age infirmity, lethargy, sleep, diseases and inertia!
Her selfless and unconditional love for teaching has made her a rare preceptor,
Her persistent passion for nurturing India's promising future buds to bloom forever,
Her dedication and determination to flow despite Topsy-Turvy like perennial river,
Have made her a memorable role model that ever instils to enlighten and glitter!
Let's all take the nonagenarian Santhamma, Mother of Peace, at her infallible word:
A dauntless fighter defeats death; while death devours a shirker, a shameful coward!
