ଓଡ଼ିଆ କବିତା "ଛୋଟ ରୁ ବଡ଼ବଡ଼ " / TRANSLATED POEM "CHOTARU BADA"

THE BIG ORIGINATE FROM THE SMALL.

A small blossom in a garden

Spreads its fragrance around a big sphere.

A small well provides water to gladden

A big settlement for months and years sans fare.

A small flame of light

Can light up a big space at night.

Small drops of shower

Boost big rivers’ power.

A small lyric meaningful

Can make big audiences mirthful.

A small singer’s sweet tone

Cheers many hearts sad and unknown.

A small boat can drift past

Currents aggressive and vast.

A man substantially small

Keeps the big earth in his control.

A tiny sapling in the forest today

Grows slowly to be a giant plant one day.

A small baby day by day learns

To raise glory and dignity high Nation’s.

 Many possibilities lie hidden

In what is known as small.

One can scale the summit Himalayan

Diligence diamond and dynamism pearl.

A small bud with its paltry potency

Blooms one day or other.

And makes its presence felt everywhere

By its right company and efficiency.

N. B.: The above poem is the English version of an Odia poem, "CHOTARU BADA" written by Dr. Janakiballabh Mohanty.
