 ହୃଦୟ ର ବନ୍ଧୁ

ହୃଦୟ ର ଏବେ ଶୂନ୍ୟତା ଭିତରେ
 ଖୋଜି ବୁଲେ ମୁଁ ତୁମରି ପଥ,
ସ୍ମୃତି ମୋର ଯାଇ ଅଣ୍ଡାଳୁ ଥାଇ
 ତୁମ ସେ ଅଭୁଲା ପଦଚିହ୍ନ।

ସେଇ ପଦଚିହ୍ନ ନୁହଁଇ ଟି ଭିନ୍ନ
  ସେ ଏକା ତୁମର ମଧୁର ବାସ୍ନା,
କଥା ଥିଲା ଆମେ ଏକାଠି ଜୀଇବା
ଏବେ ମୋ ଭିତରେ ଅମାପ ତୃଷ୍ଣା।

ଜିତିଗଲ ତୁମେ ହରାଇକି ମୋତେ
ବନ୍ଧନୁ ବନ୍ଧନେ ବାନ୍ଧି ଦେଇ,
ହୃଦୟ ଭିତରୁ ଭଲପାଅ ବୋଲି
ଶାଶ୍ଵତ ର ଧ୍ଵଜା ଦେଲ ଉଡ଼ାଇ।

ଗହଳ ନିସଙ୍ଗେ ପ୍ରୀତିର ପରାଗେ
 ତୁମେ ସଦା ସାଜ ଶରଦ ଇନ୍ଦୁ,
ପ୍ରୟାଣ ତୀର୍ଥରେ ମୋ ଶେଷ ଶ୍ଵାସରେ

 ବାଷ୍ପାୟିତ ଆମେ ହୃଦୟ ବନ୍ଧୁ।

 ଜ୍ୟୋତ୍ସ୍ନା ରାଣୀ ସୂତାର, ଶିକ୍ଷୟିତ୍ରୀ।

SOUL MATE

O my Soul Mate!
I keep looking for your path
In the hollowness of heart….
And my reminiscence does grope
For your unforgettable footprints….
 
The footprints were not at all different –
They replicate your sweet fragrance.
We did vow once to live together,
I have fathomless thirst at present…..
 
You won at last over my defeat -
Under the pretext of supra mundane love
Vouching for a perennial bond past superficiality
You did once unfurl your so-called flag of eternal love!
 

Alas! In a deep and deathly isolation
And in an ominous eclipse of affection
You ever play the role of an autumnal Moon;
In my last breath and in the pilgrimage of my corpse,

 I'll mingle with you, O my Soul Mate, as vapours become one with airs…..
