◆ ଗଜଲ୍ ◆
କୃଷ୍ଣ ମେଘ ଘୋଟିଗଲା  ●  ତାରାପ୍ରସାଦ ଜେନା  ●

ଆଖି ଆଗେ ଥାଇ ଚାଲିଗଲ ଯେବେ
କେଶ ଗୁଚ୍ଛ ଫିଟିଗଲା
ମନ ହେଲା ମୋର ମନ ଆଢୁଆଳେ
କୃଷ୍ଣ ମେଘ ଘୋଟିଗଲା । ୦ ।

ଲୁହ ହୋଇ ତୁମ ବରଷାର ବୁନ୍ଦା
ଧୀର ଆଖି ଛୁଟିଗଲା
ଭିଜି ଭିଜି ମୁଁଯେ ପ୍ରେମ ଅନୁରାଗେ
ଦୋଷ ମୋର କଟିଗଲା । ୧ ।

ମାନ ଅଭିମାନ ପାହାଡ଼ଟା ପରା
ଘଡ଼ ଘଡ଼ି ଫାଟିଗଲା
ଲାଜ ହସ ଟିକେ ମୃଦୁ ବାଆ ହୋଇ
ବାସ ଫୁଲ ଫୁଟିଗଲା   । ୨ ।

ଓଦା ଦେହେ ନିଆଁ ଜାଳିଦେଲ ତୁମେ
ମାୟା ଯାହା ହଟିଗଲା
କଳାମେଘୀ ପାଟ ପିନ୍ଧି ଖୁସି ଆସ
ସ୍ବପ୍ନ ନିଦ ଭେଟିଗଲା   । ୩ ।

ମିଥୁନର ଆଶା ଭାଷା ପଢ଼ିବାକୁ
'ତାରା' ବେଳ ଅଣ୍ଟିଗଲା
ଦୁଇ ପ୍ରାଣ ଆଉ ଏକ ମନ ଗୋଟେ
ଯଶ ପ୍ରେମ ରଟିଗଲା      । ୪ ।

 

GHAZAL - THE DARK CLOUDS UNFOLDED.

 

Oh! As you made an exit before my gaping eyes like a fairy

And did untie and unfurl the tuft of your blackberry hair,

Dawned impulsively on me thoughts unchecked and rare;

It seemed the dark clouds unfolded though it was a reverie!

 

Oh! The bitter torrents of your rains

Leisurely touched my dismal eyes as tears;

Lo! I was left completely drenched in love

And I felt relieved of transgression chains!

 

Ah! The mountains of delightful pride

Fell crashing by the thunders of bereavement;

Notwithstanding your blushing smile

Brought unseasonal buds to bloom in merriment!

 

You did inflame and ignite my wet limbs

And in an instant fled my obsessions,

Ravishing black attires vanished like dreams

Leaving me languishing in false fascinations!

 

Ah! Time stood now like eternity

That “Tara” could read and assimilate love’s language;

For, two souls once mingled with intimacy and affinity

Spray seas of aroma, and intensely urge “Love” to praise!
